The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has promised to continue oil exploration at the Kolmani oilfield in Gombe State if elected.

He stated this yesterday at the Pantami Township Stadium in Gombe during a campaign rally.

He said, “A vote for the APC is a vote for progress and prosperity for our dear country. I stand before you, the good people of Gombe State, to promise you that I will continue with the oil drilling and the development of oil discovered in the Kolmani oilfield and other places in the North.”

He also pledged that if elected the federal government would help the state to ensure the actualisation of the ongoing industrial park project.

He said, “I am calling on the people of Gombe State to vote for me and all other candidates that are contesting under the platform of the APC. I assure you that under my presidency, Gombe will develop to be among the richest states in the country.”

The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Pantami, said the federal government had approved about 65 projects to be executed in the state.

Pantami, who represented President Muhammadu Buhari at the event, said the president was fully supporting Tinubu and all other candidates of the APC across the country.

Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya told Tinubu that the mammoth crowd at the stadium was an indication of the firm support APC enjoyed APC in the state.

Governor Yahaya promised to continue with the people-oriented projects he was executing in the state, adding that he would complete all the ongoing projects if re-elected for a second term.
