The One Nation For Asiwaju Support Group has called on the Federal Government to shun selectivity in its fight against corruption.
The Director General of the Group, Muhammadu Dagaci Etsugaie, made the call while speaking at its APC Presidential victory celebration in Abuja on Saturday.
While noting that elections were over, he enjoined President Ahmed Bola Tinubu to quickly begin the rebuilding of the country’s economy.
“Ensure proper procedure and orderliness in our governance processes to curb corruption that has progressively undermined the law and circumvented the will of the people thus, making our growth and move forward as a nation difficult,” he advised.
Etsugaie, who listed challenges before Nigeria’s democracy to include injustice, political selfishness, greed, corruption, nepotism and tribal malice, called on the President to justify the trust of Nigerians in him and frontally attack the problems facing the country.
He also called for the immediate rebuilding of the country’s political institutions “through good governance, encouragement and economic empowerment of the middle class, respect for the constitution and rule of law…”
Speaking earlier, the Grand Patron of the group, Mohammed Ndarani (SAN), commended the group for its support to the All Progressives Congress and Tinubu’s presidency.
He urged the group to eschew bigotry and ethnicity and continue supporting the government to build a strong Nigeria.
