President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and former Vice President Atiku Abubakar have extended their best wishes and congratulations to renowned Islamic leader, Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi, on attaining the milestone age of 100.
Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, in a statement, described Sheikh Bauchi as a shining light who had significantly contributed to shaping Islamic knowledge, as well as moral and ethical standards in modern Nigeria.
The president thanked the Tijaniyya leader for dedicating his life to spreading knowledge and raising generations of Nigerians.
The statement reads in part: “This momentous occasion, President Tinubu prays for greater wisdom and good health for the venerable sheikh.”

Meanwhile, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar also congratulated Sheikh Bauchi on his birthday.
The opposition leader in a post on his verified Facebook page, extended his “hearty congratulations to Sheikh Dahiru Usman Bauchi as he celebrates his 100th birthday anniversary today.”
Atiku said: “Attaining the century mark is a remarkable achievement worthy of celebration. I wish the sheikh more years in good health and vitality in the service of the faithful and ulama.”
