Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, Bisi Akande, and a host of others put politics aside on Saturday as they graced the wedding ceremony of the son of former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, and daughter of former head of EFCC Nuhu Ribadu.

The 2019 Presidential candidate of the People’ss Democratic Party (PDP) also shared some of the wedding pictures via his official Twitter page.

Both Atiku and the father of the bride, Nuhu Ribadu, hail from Adamawa State and served in the government of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.

The couple’s link comes despite political differences between their fathers.

When Atiku served as vice president under Obasanjo, Ribadu headed the anti-graft agency EFCC.

Both had differences after Ribadu took on a request by the US FBI to the EFCC to investigate the relationship between Atiku and US congressman Thomas Jefferson who was then accused of bribery.

Atiku was no indicted but the probe widened into an accusation of misappropriation in the Petroleum Trust Funds.

Since leaving government, both men have been in opposing camps.
