Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu, Bisi Akande, and a host of others put politics aside on Saturday as they graced the wedding ceremony of the son of former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, and daughter of former head of EFCC Nuhu Ribadu.
The 2019 Presidential candidate of the People’ss Democratic Party (PDP) also shared some of the wedding pictures via his official Twitter page.
On behalf of my family, I express my deepest appreciation to all leaders, associates and friends who came from far and near to grace the wedding Fatiha of my son, @AliyuAtiku to Fatima Ribadu in Abuja. pic.twitter.com/MNF66iCrb7

Both Atiku and the father of the bride, Nuhu Ribadu, hail from Adamawa State and served in the government of former President Olusegun Obasanjo.
The couple’s link comes despite political differences between their fathers.
When Atiku served as vice president under Obasanjo, Ribadu headed the anti-graft agency EFCC.
Both had differences after Ribadu took on a request by the US FBI to the EFCC to investigate the relationship between Atiku and US congressman Thomas Jefferson who was then accused of bribery.
Atiku was no indicted but the probe widened into an accusation of misappropriation in the Petroleum Trust Funds.
Since leaving government, both men have been in opposing camps.
The wedding of their children has prompted Nigerians to look beyond political differences.
Political lines blurred as the young couple wed, bringing together staunch members of both APC and PDP.
I hope the picture above will give some people sense. No Apc, PDP, yoruba, Igbo or Hausa when it comes to elite Nigerians. Keep insulting each others generation on Twitter. ?♂️?♂️?♂️?♂️

Days before the actual wedding on Saturday, some Nigerians took to social media to point out there was no point in keeping political differences
Atiku’s son (PDP Bigman) is getting married to Nuhu Ribadu’s Daughter (APC Bigman) meanwhile you’ve stopped talking to ur neighbor simply because he voted PDP/APC in 2019
