The Nigeria Customs Service, Tin-Can Island Command, Lagos says it raked in the sum of N25.6 billion in the month of September.
Its Area Comptroller, Bashar Yusuf, who disclosed this at a press conference in Lagos stated that various strategies targeted at enhancing revenue collecting has begun to show positive results.
He said some of the measures put in place include identifying and blocking all leakages and capacity building, in areas of modern Customs Operations.
According to him, the Customs Service in national development cannot be overemphasized pointing out that his Command will not renege on its function of revenue collection/generation irrespective of the present global economic challenge being faced by nations all over the world.
