Governor Aminu Bello Masari has been in charge of affairs in Katsina State for more than five years now. However, since he came on board, there have not been local government elections in the state.
Bauchi State recently held LG elections while Kano State has scheduled its own in January. Hence, the question is how a state like Bauchi, which her governor assumed leadership just last year, conducted local government elections while those whose governors have been in office for about five years are not even ready.

With the current hardship being faced by Nigerians, especially those living in the rural areas, an elected local government council would help in reducing poverty, providing employment and arrest security threats in the state.
I believe that the governor has listening ears and respects the views of the electorate, hence he would consider holding these elections soonest.
