There is tight security at the various entrances to the National Assembly ahead of President Muhammadu Buhari’s 2019 budget presentation before a joint session of the legislature on Wednesday, Daily Trust reports.
Our correspondent observed that security operatives, including men of the Department of State Security (DSS), the police and civil defence were conducting serious checks before allowing people gain access into the building.
Only lawmakers, senior National Assembly management staff, journalists and a few support staff were allowed entry.
The president is expected to present the budget around 12noon.
