Thugs have set a police vehicle ablaze at Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s campaign rally in Gwaram local government area of Jigawa State on Thursday.
Crisis began when a police officer shot a tear gas canister at close rage that hit one of the thugs in the face in which he was said to have sustained a serious injury.
The police shot the tear gas with a view to disperse the thugs that were fighting.

On seeing the degree of injury inflicted one of them, the thugs started hitting the police vehicle after chasing them away.
The thugs heaped cornstalk on the vehicle before setting it on fire.
When contacted, the police spokesperson, SP Abdu Jinjiri, said he was yet to be briefed on the matter as he was on a journey.
