Three secondary school teachers killed in Abuja Auto crash

Three teachers of the Government Secondary School (GSS), Rubochi in Kuje area council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), have lost their lives in an accident.
The victims were identified as Abubakar Yelwas, Yunusa Ladan, and Lazarus Makama.
A witness said the accident happened around 2:15 pm on Friday.
The vehicle they were traveling in reportedly lost control and crashed near Kwaita bridge.
Ladan, who resided in Tungan-Maje, was said to be conveying the two of his colleagues in his Toyota Carina with registration number 154 KWL when the accident happened.
The Rubochi branch chairman of the Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT), Mr Tanimu Taru, confirmed the incident.
“As I am talking to you right now, I am at the family residence of one of the deceased. The remains of Abubakar Yelwas and the assistant Bursar were buried according to Islamic rites, on Friday,” he said.
He said arrangement was being put in place for the burial of Makama.
When contacted, the FCT sector commander of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC) Samuel Ogar Ochi, confirmed the incident and attributed it to over speeding.
