Three people were killed while the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) of Matazu Local Government Area, Yusha’u Dissi, was abducted when armed bandits attacked Dissi and several other villages at the weekend.
The chairman, Daily Trust learnt, was abducted at night alongside a woman whose identity is yet to be known.

Also on the same night, several villages at Batsari Local Government Area were attacked.
At Dan Alhaji village the bandits opened fire on villagers and killed one person while they searched house to house at Kimbitsawa village and carted away 18 cows.
They also reportedly broke into many shops and carted away foodstuffs and beverages.
At Kandawa village, another person was killed while three others were abducted.
At Shirgi village, a 12 year old boy was reportedly killed while many were shot at Tsugunni village over 60 animals were rustled.
Also at Wurma village of Kurfi LGA, eight women were reportedly kidnapped on Saturday night.
Dissi’s whereabouts were still unknown as the abductors were yet to contact the family as of yesterday night.
