He said the circumstance that had hitherto seemed insurmountable in Nigerian football will be a thing of the past.

Barrister Akinwunmi who is the Chairman of Lagos state football association stated further that the message of hope to all football loving Nigerians is to await the implementation of his Football First ideology that would usher in a rebirth for the nation’s football ecosystem.

He declared that his lofty thoughts and plans for a new NFF would start to manifest as soon as he takes over the mantle of leadership.

It will be recalled that a former Chairman of Sokoto Football Association, Mallam Danladi Bako endorsed Seyi Akinwunmi to become the next president of the NFF.

Bako observed that Akinwunmi is the right man to succeed Amaju Pinnick and take Nigerian football to greater heights with a holistic approach and professional execution.

Speaking at the official launch of Akinwunmi’s manifesto and campaign in Abuja, Bako said: “I’m from the north and I have endorsed Seyi. NFF affairs have never been an issue or politics of where anyone comes from. It’s about competence and my conscience tells me that Seyi is eminently an outstanding personality that can take Nigerian football to where we all desire.
