Thieves leave homeowner notes of what they stole

Thieves stole several items from a home in Texas including a laptop and PlayStation 3 before leaving behind notes explaining why they did it.
The burglary took place at a home in southwest Houston on Monday afternoon after the crooks jumped homeowner Joseph Alvarado’s fence and kicked in the back door.
His daughter came home and noticed the front door was open before they found the notes in children’s handwriting that included several misspellings, Alvarado told Daily Mail Online.
‘I stole your stuffe (sic) because my borther (sic) told me to,’ one note read.
In the second note, the word ‘We’ is crossed out, and reads: ‘I broke in… haha… and took your PS3, controlers (sic), games, and computer.’
That note was signed ‘By: a kid… haha.’
‘The backdoor had been kicked in from the back and all the drawers had been opened and gone through,’ Alvarado said.
‘We noticed that the things that were missing was the PS3 and the laptop.
‘We called the cops and filed a report and it wasn’t until afterwards that we noticed the notes.’
Alvarado, who is a middle school special education teacher, said at first he thought the incident was gang related.
‘When I read that note I was super annoyed.
To think that I could have taught kids like this is super frustrating.
‘I was a little scared to think at first that it could be some gang related hit….. only to see that it looks like some poorly educated kids. Thankfully no one was hurt.’
Alvarado, who is a special education teacher, said he finds the notes ‘heart-wrenching.’
Alvarado noted the back door of his home now has to be replaced after the suspects kicked in it.
Following the incident, Alvarado has filed a police report and is working on improving his security system, according to KHOU.
