The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, has promised to appoint suitably qualified women into his government if given the mandate in 2023.
He promised to build on the women empowerment programmes of Governor Nasir el-Rufai and continue his policy of women inclusion when voted into office.
Uba, who made the pledge at an event organised by Igabi Women Wins on Sunday, noted that women constituted the majority in the El-Rufai cabinet, adding that he would improve on the number.
He told the crowd that his administration would give financial assistance to women who were engaged in business, adding that those who were not doing business would be trained on skills and given start-up capital when he became governor.
