Organisers of Nigeria’s foremost entrepreneurial reality TV show, ‘The Next Titan’ have announced that the winner of this year’s edition will be rewarded with N20 million.
The Executive Producer of the programme, Mide Akinlaja, who disclosed this in a press briefing in Lagos, said that the ninth season of the show is tagged ‘The Game Changer’. He described the TV show as a platform aimed at engineering entrepreneurship among Nigerian youths by identifying the best business minds and supporting their entrepreneurial acumen to propel them into successful personalities.
According to Akinlaja, it will commence with contestants pitching their business ideas through auditions in four major cities in Nigeria: Abuja, Port Harcourt, Enugu and Lagos; the top 50 would be selected for a boot camp.
Only 18 contestants from the boot camp would be shortlisted to proceed to the Titan House for 10 weeks, carrying out weekly business tasks around the city of Lagos, from which evictions would take place weekly.
He said that the importance of the reality TV show lies in igniting entrepreneurial spirit and showcasing the possibility of entrepreneurship in transforming lives with just an idea that can be scaled to greatness with a market and Nigeria’s population.
