Author Khadeeja Sani Mudi said her last good book is ‘Season of Crimson Blossoms’ by Abubakar Adam Ibrahim.
“It’s one of the most educative and interesting debuts I have come across this year,” she said. “It tells the story of 55-year-old widow Hajiya Binta Zubairu, and a street gang leader Hassan Reza who start an affair that ends badly.
“I love the way Fa’iza crushes on a Nigerian Actor, Ali Nuhu, and the trauma she goes through. I Love the author’s use of language, idiomatic expressions and proverbs. The book explores politics, love, depression, the effects of psychological trauma and sex, to mention a few. It’s a must-read.
Khadeeja is the author of ‘A Good Turn Deserves Another’ published in November 2019.
