The newly released romantic comedy, ‘The Eve,’ has espoused many tourism destinations available in Lagos for fun seekers.

A filmmaker and the producer of the movie, Hauwa Allahbura, disclosed this in a chat with Daily Trust at a private screening of the movie in Lagos.

The movie, which hits cinema screen nationwide on March 29, chronicles the days leading up to a “happy couple’s” wedding day.

Shot in highbrow hinterland of the state, the storyline is about a young couple, Funsho (Adeolu Adefarasin) and Yewande (Beverly Naya), who despite their varying personalities planned to get married in a few days.

The hilarious movie began with a get-together party where a group of friends discussed the intending couple’s past which later threatens the wedding itself. But will Funsho and Yewande still go ahead with the wedding as planned?

“They (fun seekers) have not explored the many tourism values of Lagos state; that’s why we shot 80 percent of the movie in Ilashe area of the state. What motivates me is my love for life and especially for this movie as I love to party, I love to have fun, and I love to be in many airy places,” Allahbura, who is in her thirties, said.

She added that anyone who loves adventures should visit Lagos beaches and interior towns often as the places are always airy and fun to be.

She urged men and women not to rush into marriage because of family or friends’ pressure or old age, adding that “if you’re going to get marry, make sure you get married to the right person.”

“So, if you watch this movie, you will know it’s not too late for you to find love. You can find love at 40 years of age and even at 50 too. You need to find that missing rib,” the filmmaker affirmed.

Also speaking at the event, the lead actor in the movie, Adeolu Adefarasin, said acting in the movie was all fun for him.

“I’ve had a lot of movie experience but this is the best for me so far because I spent a lot of time consistently working with great actors and having a lot of fun doing it in a good environment also. The first day on set was a great day for me and acting Funsho’s character was a lot of fun for me,” he said amazingly.

He noted that the movie has taught him many lessons in life. “It comes with understanding who you are as a man. Don’t let someone else define your world for you. Understand what you’re worth and also don’t lose your mind as a man; don’t let people define who you are,” he opined.

The Nollywood blockbuster starred Beverly Naya, Adeolu Adefarasin, John Okafor (Mr. Ibu), Ronke Oshodi, Meg Otanwa, Hauwa Allahbura, Kunle Remi, Mawuli Gavor, Efa Iwara, and Ronke Odusanya, etc.

Produced by the Cut24 productions, the movie was directed by popular Nigerian rapper and movie director, Tosin Igho.
