Whenever people gather to talk about places where killings take place the most in Nigeria, Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states easily come to mind. However there are other states where killings are going on frequently too. One of these states is Edo state. Edo state has been a playground for killers. These killers are not terrorists or militants; they are students, farmers and artisans in various community. The endless cult clashes have resulted in the death of hundreds of students and locals. Last week alone, 5 people were killed in a cult clash. The situation Edo State is in is so sad. Where are the powers that be? What are they doing to stop these constant killings? What is the police doing to ensure better security and curb cultism in the state? No more medicine after death. The police and the government need to be proactive. Prevent the killers; don’t just arrest them after the deed has been done!
