Security within and around the National Assembly Complex in Abuja was tightened Thursday morning ahead presentation of the 2022 budget by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Buhari had on Wednesday written the both chambers of the National Assembly intimating the lawmakers that he will be presenting the 2022 budget estimate before them by 12 noon.

Gunmen invaded Kuryar Madaro community of Kauran Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State on Tuesday killing scores of villagers and set many vehicles and houses on fire.
Residents in the area told the BBC that the gunmen stormed the community around 10pm and spent hours on the rampage.

Following the suspension of the strike action which lasted two months, doctors under the National Association of Resident Doctors (NARD) on Wednesday resumed at their duty posts in hospitals across the country.
