The commission’s budget profile of N140bn is under consideration by the Senate Committee on INEC, chaired by Senator Kabiru Gaya.

The debate ensued as the Senate considered a bill seeking to amend the Niger Delta Development Commission Act to include Lagos, Ogun, Bauchi and others that had attained the status of oil-producing states into the Act.

Senate Approves Buhari’s N7.6tr External Borrowing Request
The Senate yesterday approved President Muhammadu Buhari’s request to borrow about N7.6 trillion comprising $16.2 billion and €1 billion (Euros) under the 2018-2020 External Borrowing (Rolling) plan, and a $125 million grant component.
It also approved the request to the Bank of Industries (BoI) for the issuance of €500 million (Euros) but no more than €750m Eurobond in the International Capital Market.
New Nigeria Women Premier League Season Kicks Off Dec 8
The 2021/22 Nigeria Women Premier League season will kick off on December 8, 2021 seven months after the past season was concluded.
The league organisers have given November 25 as the deadline for registration as they said there won’t be any postponement of the kick off date.
