Ohanaeze Begs IPOB For Peace As FG Insists On Anambra Election

As anxiety heightens ahead of the November 6 Anambra governorship election, the apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, has appealed to the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to suspend its planned sit-at-home order.

IPOB had announced that it will lock down the South East if its leader, Nnamdi Kanu, currently standing treason trial, is not released from detention by November 4.

Plateau Assembly Speaker Impeached

The Speaker of Plateau State House Assembly, Hon Abok Ayuba Nuhu, has been impeached.

He was replaced with Sanda Yakubu, who hails from Pingana constituency of Bassa Local Government Area of the state.

Governorship candidate of Zenith Labour Party (ZLP) in the November 6 Anambra governorship election, Dr. Obiora Okonkwo, broke down in tears when he visited Okpoko community to flag off construction of a multi million naira road project on Wednesday.

The project is the Ede road, School Road/ Awalite and Ojoto street retiring at Owerri road in Okpoko community, Ogbaru local government area of the state.

Andy Murray Loses To Carlos Alcaraz At Vienna Open

Britain’s Andy Murray lost for the first time in his career at the Vienna Open after a straight-set defeat by Spanish teenager Carlos Alcaraz.
