14 people were killed by gunmen in our community, Agudu in Kogi State. While preparing for the hustles of a new day, unknown gunmen came to our community in the morning and killed 13 members of the same family.

The innocent man that rushed to the scene to rescue his neighbours was also killed. A number of people also sustained injuries during the one-hour onslaught.

Where were our security personnel in all this? How long will we continue to be wiped out daily by these ‘untouchable bandits’? We are not asking the government for houses or food, they should only secure our communities so that we can feel safe once again. This goverment has failed in the area o security.
