Among the communities affected are Kafana and Kurgbako, all in Munya LGA.
City & Crime gathered that some of the IDPs who left Minna on Tuesday to plant yams were kidnapped.
The communities raided on Tuesday are Kuchi, Kafana, Chibani and Wuloto, where many people, mostly men, were kidnapped.
One of the IDPs, Mohammad Awwal, said, “Our brothers went to plant yam but were kidnapped. The criminals came around 4pm. What we normally do is to go and return. If they (bandits) open our yam barns and take the ones they want, they don’t close the barns thereby allowing goats to eat our yam seedlings.”
