Tension in Kafanchan over inadequate ballot papers

There is palpable anxiety in Kafanchan, Jema’a local government over inadequate presidential ballot papers in Wards A and B.
In ward A, about eight polling units are yet to get ballot papers while five units in ward B did not get ballot papers.
Accreditation and voting was delayed by over 24 hours because community members insisted that presidential elections must hold.
The community leaders later addressed a news conference where they alleged that the ballot papers got missing on Saturday during distribution.
INEC spokesperson Fatima Bande confirmed that there were inadequate presidential ballot papers to share in the affected areas.
Also, in M‎arbang and Manya (07) in Zangon Kataf local government area, voting did not hold because election officers and material were not sent there.
