Tenger pledges to lift Lobi Stars

The highly experienced gaffer was unveiled yesterday in Makurdi by the management of the club.
Speaking to Daily Trust on phone after his unveiling, the coach said he accepted to return home because it is great honour for him to serve his state.
He said even as it is too early for him to talk about goals he would like to achieve, he will surely achieve results with Lobi and possibly pick one of the continental tickets.
Tenger who once coached Lobi Stars said he is inspired by the structures laid by the club’s vice-chairman, Dominic Iorfa saying the former Nigerian international has made his work easier.
“It was not a hard decision for me to take. Who am I to say no when my state wants me back?
“I am happy to be back and I will spare nothing in doing my job. Although I don’t want to set any target for now, I can confidently say I will bring my wealth of experience to help lift Lobi to greater heights.
“My work is made so easy by my brother Dominic Iorfa. Over the years, he has laid solid structures which I hope to build on.
On his part, Iorfa who is Lobi Stars vice-chairman said “We settled for coach Tenger because of his experience and love for discipline. He is someone who is hardworking and strict.
“He will surely bring the technical savvy that will help Lobi achieve positive results”.
Coach Tenger is former coach of defunct BCC Lions, Kwara United, Gombe United, Wikki Tourists, Niger Tornadoes and Akwa United.
