Tems bags Golden Globe awards for Black Panther II soundtrack

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Temilade Openiyi fondly known as Tems has been revealed as one of the nominees of the Golden Globe Awards.

Tems was nominated due to her songwriting efforts in the song “Lift Me Up”, a track from Marvels Entertainment’s recently released movie “Wakanda Forever”

The Nigerian music star was nominated under the Best Original Song Category alongside Rihanna, Ryan Coogler, and Ludwig Goransson.

The news was also disclosed by Marvel studio’s Twitter page where they complimented the artistes on their efforts.

“Congratulations to Tems, Rihanna, Ryan Coogler, and Ludwig Göransson for their Golden Globe Nomination for Best Original Song! #WakandaForever  #GoldenGlobes,“ it wrote.

This isn’t the first time Tems would be nominated for an international award in 2022, the singer was nominated for the BET awards, American Music Awards, and the Popular Grammy Awards.

The Golden Globe Awards is an international film and television award which began in 1944. These awards are bestowed by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, to acknowledge greatness in both American and international movies.
