An 18-year-old man, Kabiru Isiaka, was on Thursday arraigned before an Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, chief magistrate court for alleged stealing.
Police prosecutor, Inspector Johnson Okunade, informed the court that Isiaka and one other person at large committed the offence on September 7, 2020 at about 12pm at Alasia Street, Omisanjana, Ado-Ekiti.
Okunade alleged that the defendant and his accomplice stole a pair of trousers valued at N5,000, one armless clothe valued at N2,000 and two pants valued at N3,000, belonging to Sadiq Adeleye.
The prosecutor urged the court to adjourn the case to enable him study the file and assemble his witnesses.
Isiaka pleaded not guilty.
The chief magistrate, Mrs Olanike Adegoke, granted him bail in the sum of N50,000, with one surety in like sum, and adjourned the case till October 5, 2020 for hearing.
