Teachers remanded for defiling nursery pupils

A Chief Magistrate’s Court in Kano has remanded two teachers of De-Emirate Academy Kano in prison custody for allegedly defiling two pupils of the school.
The victims are six and seven years old and are both in nursery two, Daily Trust learnt
The father of one of the victims who craved anonymity, vowed to follow the case to its logical conclusion. “I will continue pursuing this matter until justice prevails. I will not allow the perpetrators to escape justice,” he said.
The two suspected rapists Y. Bello and one Moses were arraigned before the court by the parents of the victims.
“From our findings, Y. Bello in particular is assaulting our daughters for spiritual purposes. We have discovered that he is a spiritualist and he uses black cloth to cover our daughters’ faces and rob some concoction on their bodies before he sexually assaults them.
This is a clear indication that he does it for spiritual purposes,” the distraught father said.
Meanwhile, the Presiding Judge, Chief Magistrate Maryam Ahmed Sabo adjourned the case till March 15, 2016 for continuation.
