The Taraba state government has alerted communities located along River Benue in the state on impending flooding and asked them to relocate.
The state Commissioner of Information, Barrister Zainab Usman Jalingo, said in a statement that there was high possibility of flooding following release of water from Lagdo Dam in Cameroon Republic.

She advised residents of areas along the River Benue to relocate.
She said areas likely to be affected include Gassol,Karim-Lamido, Ardo-Kola,Wukari and Ibbi LGAs of the state.
