The Emir of Muri, Alhaji Abbas Njidda Tafida, has said that the Taraba State governor, Agbu Kefas, is taking the state on the right track for development.
He said the governor’s efforts in addressing the problems confronting the education sector were commendable.
Speaking to newsmen at his palace in Jalingo on Wednesday, the emir also praised the governor’s focus on agriculture and infrastructural development.
“Governor Kefas is doing what is right and is on the right track in developing the state. I only support a governor or government when I am satisfied that his intentions, directions and level of consultations are reasonable and good for the people of Taraba State,” the emir said.

He highlighted Governor Kefas’s swift action in addressing issues related to education and infrastructural decay upon assuming office, stressing that such efforts are crucial for building a better Taraba for future generations.
“It is worthy to note that immediately after taking office, the governor moved to address the problems of education and infrastructure, as well as other sectors, including security challenges,” the emir added.
