The Hausa/Fulani community in Jalingo, Taraba State has sent a distress call to the Federal government, asking it to take immediate action to stop killings of the group’s innocent members in Jalingo.
The call was made by a community leader, Alhaji Musa Garba, who said members of the Hausa/Fulani community were being attacked and killed in different locations of Jalingo for the past four days.
According to him, killings, destruction of property of the Hausa/Fulani people was an agenda to push them out of the state.
Daily Trust gathered that many people were killed this morning while houses and shops were either burnt down or destroyed.
The latest attacks came despite curfew imposed by Governor Darius Ishaku yesterday.
