Taraba state government has imposed curfew in Jalingo town as hoodlums broke into private shops and looted items worth millions of naira.
The hoodlums looted government warehouses on Saturday during which 8 looters lost their lives in a struggle to get their share of the cash found in the warehouse.

It was gathered that the hoodlums broke into all government owned warehouses in different parts of the town.
The looters sold the stolen items including rice, maize, soya beans, cooking oil and water pumps at a give away price.
Owners of private warehouses have hired vigilantes to guard their property.
Thousands of looters it was learnt are trying to break some warehouses but were prevented by vigilantes.
