Victims of recent flood disaster in Jalingo, Taraba State capital, have been provided with some relief items.
The Taraba state government said the relief items were given to reduce the victim’s plight.

The chairman of Jalingo local government council, Alhaji Nasiru Bobboji, who presented the package on behalf of Taraba state government, said government deemed it necessary to assist them because of their suffering.
He said Governor Darius lshaku, who had visited areas affected by the Flood and saw the level of destruction, directed immediate assistance to the victims.
He said more relief materials will be provided by the government as well as other spirited individuals.
“The 654 victims that received the relief materials today are not the only total number of the victims and more lists are being compile of all those that are affected by the disaster,” he said.
The chairman, however, called on National Emergency management Agency (NEMA) to provide relief materials to the victims to reduce their suffering adding that most of them have lost all their belongings including food stuffs.
