The Taraba State government has embarked on total reconstruction of the School of Nursing and Midwifery Jalingo. The project was abandoned for several years by previous administrations after sinking billions of naira.
The Senior Adviser to Governor Agbu Kefas on media and digital communication, Mr Emmanuel Bello, said in Jalingo that the project was very important to the administration because of the importance it attached to the training medical staff.

He said the school, when completed, will train nurses and midwives and will address the shortage of nurses and midwives facing many government owned hospitals.
He said apart from free education, the administration has embarked on massive renovation of both primary and secondary schools across the state as part of its efforts to address the problem of infrastructure in government-owned schools across the state.
