The Taraba State governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the rescheduled governorship election, Lt. Col. Agbu Kefas (retd), has expressed optimism that the party would retain power given its dominance in the just concluded presidential and National Assembly elections.
Kefas said this at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) headquarters on Friday night in Abuja when he accompanied two senators to collect their certificates of return.
He said the PDP had done a lot and would continue to strive to take Taraba State to the Promised Land.
The senators-elect, who received their certificates of return are the current deputy governor of Taraba State, Mr Haruna Manu (Taraba Central) and Senator Shuaibu Lau (Taraba North).

“Our great party, the PDP will continue to shine. There’s no vacancy for the opposition in Taraba because we have done well and we promise to do more as we take the state to the Promised Land. Earlier in their remarks, the senators-elect said they came with the governorship candidate in their entourage to affirm their commitment to the party’s victory.
