Taraba community calls for upgrade of chiefdom

The Chief of Jen in Karim-Lamido LGA of Taraba State, David Robert, has called on Governor Agbu Kefas to upgrade Jen Chiefdom to second class status and create more districts in the chiefdom.

Chief Robert made the call on Saturday while celebrating his one year on the throne during the Jenjo Cultural Day celebration held at the Major General Boniface Robert Sinjen Sports and Cultural Centre, Jen.

The third class traditional ruler noted that the chiefdom had for a long time waited to be upgraded to second class status in order to give the Jenjo people a sense of pride.

The monarch also appealed to the state government through the Bureau for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs to approve the creation of additional districts in his chiefdom.
