The gubernatorial candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Taraba state, Sani Danladi Abubakar says he will challenge the outcome of last Saturday’s election in which the incumbent governor, Darius Ishaku, was declared winner by INEC.
He said the governorship election in Taraba state was characterized by irregularities and other forms of electoral malpractices.
Danladi alleged that card readers were not used during election in Zing, Yorro, Kurmi, Takum and Wukari.
He further alleged that APC supporters were harassed, intimidated and prevented from voting during the governorship election in Takum, Wukari, Kurmi and Ussa adding that election results was written without the use of card readers in many polling units across the state.
The APC gubernatorial candidate maintained that he rejected the outcome of the election in totality and is heading to court to reclaim his mandate which was stolen by the PDP.
It could be recalled that APC agents have refused to sign the governorship election results declared by the INEC Returning Officer, Professor Adamu Iya in Jalingo on Tuesday.
