Taraba APC guber candidate alleges hijack of electoral materials

Governorship candidate of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Taraba, Senator Aisha Jummai Alhassan has alleged hijack of electoral materials in southern parts of the state.

Aisha who spoke after her accreditation awhile ago, alleged that materials were yet to get to some of the polling units in those areas, adding she had reported the matter to the Independent National Electoral Commission.

She observed that the turnout of voters at today’s elections was low compared to that of the presidential elections, adding that the low turn out was a national phenomenon.

Aisha expressed assurance of victory if the exercise is conducted in a free and fair manner.

But when contacted, Spokesman of INEC in the state, Fabian Yame said there was no such incident in Southern Taraba as being alleged by the APC governorship candidate.
