Yakasai said in Kano yesterday that the statement credited to ACF National Publicity Secretary, Anthony Sani, was in contrast with the press statement issued after the meeting of the ACF’s central working committee and Board of Trustees to the effect that the handlers of the president’s health should be forthcoming with information on the matter.
“The two contradicting statements prompted me to contact Senator Ladan Shuni who was present at the meeting as to which of the two statements was the true reflection of the decision taken at the meeting. He assured me that the question of President Yar’adua being unfit to govern and should hand over power to the vice president was never considered at the meeting,” he said in a statement.
