Tanker kills two, injures others on Lagos-Ibadan Expressway

Two persons died yesterday while two others sustained injuries in an accident involving a Mack truck tanker and a Toyota Hiace bus at Lenuwa, new Makun on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway. 

The Spokesman of Ogun State Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Corps (TRACE), Babatunde Akinbiyi confirmed the incident in a statement.

Akinbiyi explained that the accident which occurred at 6am, involved a Mack truck marked AKD 549 XL and a commercial Toyota bus with registration number KSF 259 CQ.

The TRACE spokesman stated that the accident was caused by brake failure and loss of control on the part of the tanker leading to a collision.
