Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu on Tuesday charged the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Adamu and the service chiefs to find a lasting solution to insecurity.
Akeredolu, while appearing on Channels Television’s Politics Today, urged them to act swiftly and decisively deal with the situation.
He said: “They must take necessary steps now, this is a serious matter, and I believe the IGP, all the service chiefs and co are probably, in one place or the other, meeting so that solutions can come to this problem.”
Akeredolu, who is also the chairman of Southwest Governors’ Forum, also said it was high time for state police.
