Former special advisers to Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal have hailed the expulsion of the National Vice Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in charge of the Northwest, Barrister Inuwa Abdulkadir by the party.
The ex-advisers who are now in APC, said the decision was a welcomed development, alleging that Abdulkadir is a “mole” in the party.
Addressing some journalists on Saturday, the spokesman of the group, Alhaji Abdullahi Sokoto further alleged that the zonal vice chairman was hitherto working against the party in the zones.
According to him, he (Abdulkadir) had not been attending APC functions in the zone not even the recently conducted primaries in his state, Sokoto.
Sokoto refuted that Inuwa was expelled because of his personal relationship with Governor Tambuwal.
“It is not truth. He was not expelled because of his relationship or friendship with the Governor, but because he is not discharging his responsibilities as required by the constitution of the party,” he said
He added that “his expulsion started from his ward and it was upheld by his local government and the state before it was ratified by the national headquarter of the party after investigating the matter and found him guilty.”
Sokoto stressed that the expulsion of the vice chairman would not in any way affect the chances of the party either in Sokoto or the northwestern region, describing him as a “paper weight politician”.
