Sokoto Governor Aminu Tambuwal took a detour at the APC Sokoto South Senatorial District committee meeting at Bodinga town, Sokoto to call for prayers for President Muhammadu Buhari.
He appealed to Nigerians to sustain their fervent prayers for the nation and the president.
The governor expressed optimism on efforts towards tackling problems bedevilling the nation.
He appreciated the people of the state for reposing confidence in the APC, and supporting government on its policies and programmes.
Tambuwal assured that the state government efforts towards reviving education would manifest.
Also speaking, Minister of State for Trade and Investment, A’isha Abubakar, urged the state government to continue with its programmes of women empowerment and girl child education.
The minister expressed readiness of her ministry to support the state government in the establishment processing industries.
She explained that it would help in the diversification of the economy, boost food security and reduce unemployment, amongst others.
