Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has maintained his lead as results of 23 local government areas were declared by INEC early Monday.
According to the results declared so far, Tambuwal of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won 12 out of the 23 local government areas with 3,468 votes margins.
Tambuwal now polled a total of 489,558 votes while Ahmad Aliyu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) scored 486,090 votes.
