Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has promised to complete the road which was abandoned since 2007 in Gudu local government area of the state.
The road was awarded by former Governor Attahiru Dalhatu Bafarawa at the tail end of his administration.
Bafarawa announced this on behalf of the Governor at the flag off of Governorship campaign of the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state which held in Binji local government area on Wednesday.
He said that the Governor had assessed the road and promised to remobilize the contractor to complete it.
Daily Trust had in 2017 reported the Village head of Bachaka, Alhaji Aminu Abdullahi saying his people resorted to the neighbouring Niger Republic for medical attention due to the terrible condition of the road which was abandoned 25 kilometres to Bachaka.
However, while presenting flags to their candidates, Tambuwal assured people of the state that his administration would continue to execute meaningful projects for the benefit of the people.
Tambuwal sympathised with the victims of bandits’ attack in Dange town during APC campaign flag.
Governor Tambuwal expressed surprise that an opposition party could claim to have received 50,000 and over 10,000 defectors from the party they earlier said do not have any supporter in the state.
