Tambuwal leads with 13,444 votes as INEC announces results of 20 LGAs in Sokoto

Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal has maintained his lead as results of 20 local government areas have so far been declared by INEC.

According to the results declared so far, Tambuwal of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) won 11 out of the 20 local government areas with 13,444 votes margins. Sokoto has 23 LGAs in total.

Tambuwal polled a total of 429,526 votes while Ahmad Aliyu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) scored 416,082 votes.

However, 70,545 votes were cancelled so far.
