Tambuwal said the period of Eid-el-Kabir provides a new opportunity to show love and compassion especially for the less privileged.
In his sallah message, the speaker urged Muslims and all Nigerians to view the sallah celebration as a call for love, caring, and promotion of peace in line with the teachings of Prophet Mohammed (SAW).He said as the 2015 general elections approach, politicians must subject themselves to the rules of the game and urged them to avoid acts that would lead to the breach of peace.The speaker also wished Nigerians a peaceful Eid celebration.
Similarly, deputy speaker EmekaIhedioha congratulated Muslims on the occasion and called on Nigerians to renew their belief in the Nigeria project and show greater patriotism in order to accelerate national growth and development. In a Sallah message, Ihedioha said the significance of the festivities should not be lost on citizens as the period offers an opportunity to show love and generosity to family, friends, neighbours and even the less privileged.
