The Sokoto State Executive Council has approved N1.631billion for the execution of some projects in the state.
The projects include the construction of the Maruda-Tsaki- Lambo-Gantamo-Gajara Road in Kware Local Government for over N475millon while N221million was earmarked for the purchase of rural water scheme maintenance materials.

The Commissioner for Information, Isah Bajini Galadanchi, who briefed journalists after the meeting on Friday said N420 million was approved for the rehabilitation of 120 water schemes in rural areas of the state.
Similarly, a statement signed by the special adviser to the governor on media and publicity, Muhammad Bello, said the council also approved N515million for the purchase of electrical materials for use in rural areas.
