Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal of Sokoto State has dissolved the caretaker committees for the 23 local government areas of the state.
The dissolution followed their meeting with the governor at the government house on Friday where he thanked them for their support to his government.
According to him, the state electoral commission (SOSIEC) has been appropriately briefed and was planning for the local government elections.
In his response, the former Sole Administrator of Sokoto North Local Government Area, Alhaji Aminu Ibrahim, on behalf of his colleagues expressed gratitude to the governor for the opportunity and privilege given them to serve.
