The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has taken financial literacy e‎ducation to students of Government Secondary School (GSS) Suleja, Niger State. 
 
At least 72 selected students ‎from Junior Secondary School (JSS1) to Senior Secondary School (SSS3) benefited from the mentoring session and were excited about the new knowledge they received. 
 
The Principal of the school ‎Alhaji Garba Shaibu let some teachers to also benefit from the lesson. 
The World Savings Day (WSD) was established on October 31, 1924 and has been marked yearly. ‎It’s a tradition created with the objective of stressing the importance of savings for modern economies and for individuals alike. 
The theme of this year’s WSD is “Don’t save what is left after spending, but spend what is left after saving. “
 
The Deputy Director and Head Consumer Education, Consumer Protection Department at the CBN, Hajiya Khadijab Kasim, who delivered the mentoring session advised the students to save a bit (10%) of whatever they ‎earn and invest into the future.
