Two clans of Okuni and Adon in Apiapum community of Obubra Local Government Area of Cross River State that have been at war with themselves for several decades have finally accepted to live peacefully.

Their two traditional rulers, Mbina Mbina of Okuni and Patrick Edeni of Adon, shook hands and embraced and also pledged never to breach the peace. The peace meeting was held at Apiapum town hall and attended by over 20 other chiefs and natives.

Bishops and members of Brotherhood of the Cross and Star Traditional Rulers Fellowship at the instance of their spiritual leader, Olumba Olumba Obu, waded into the dispute, which had taken many lives.
